The Swaps, from the greasy banks of the River Leam, are an indie-blues, folk-pop-soul sensation. Beth Brooks (vocals), James Knight (guitar and vocals), and Adam Phillips (guitar) have been honing their blend of blues, soul, folk and pop for many years in different line-ups but have recently found the real magic as an acoustic trio. The Swaps build most of their music around Beth’s jaw-dropping vocals and the instinctive guitar interplay between James and Adam. All three are songwriters, which perhaps explains the variety and exceptional quality of the material on their new “SWAPS LIVE” album. Recorded at the Upton Blues Festival in 2024, this is the first recording they have released as a trio. A studio album is planned for 2025.
The band hosts the regular Blues Club at Temperance in Leamington Spa. This sells out months in advance and features The Swaps, plus guests that have included some of the biggest names on the British blues scene. For All you need: www.theswaps.co.uk
